BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Sept. 3, 2004 -- CHILD ARTIST 8 -- Painting, "Triptonic," by four-year-old artist Marla Olmstead of Binghamton. Olmstead is the subject of a film by Amir Bar-Lev , currently showing at the Sundance Film Festival, entitled "My Kid Could Paint That." Bar-Lev follows the story of young Marla who sold hundreds of thousands of dollars of abstract paintings before her father was accused of secretly having a hand in the work.
