BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Sept, 3, 2004 -- CHILD ARTIST 4 -- Four-year-old artist Marla Olmstead uses a stool when she paints at her easel and always needs a bath--"actually, two baths--a pre-bath and a real bath"--when she finishes for the day, according to her mother, Laura Olmstead. Olmstead is the subject of a film by Amir Bar-Lev currently showing at the Sundance Film Festival entitled "My Kid Could Paint That." Bar-Lev follows the story of Olmstead, who sold hundreds of thousands of dollars of abstract paintings before her father was accused of secretly having a hand in the work.
